Fall Has Officially Started: 5 Tips to Enjoy

As you may or may not be aware, fall began Wednesday, September 23rd and the effects can already be seen across the country.  Here are some tips to make sure your family is prepared for the change of season!

1. Make sure everyone has a raincoat – Although in the summer, a small rainstorm may not warrant a true raincoat, now that Autumn is setting in it can be quite cold during a storm and some extra protection is necessary to avoid catching a cold or flu virus.

2. Get a Flu Shot – As we have written about in previous blogs, flu season and fall go hand in hand and the best way to avoid getting the flu is to get a shot!

3. Spend Time Outside – Make sure to appreciate that fall is your last opportunity to spend a large amount of time outside before winter comes.  Take advantage of it before it’s gone!

4. Get the Kids in Healthy Habits – With fall comes halloween, and theres no time like the present to get them in the habit of eating healthy so you can try to convince them to lay off the candy when October 31st comes around!

5. Enjoy some free time with the family – Fall has many holidays like Thanksgiving and Halloween which offer small chances to enjoy some great family time and make lasting memories with the kids.  Don’t miss out on these opportunities!

Fall can be one of the most exciting times of the year, make sure to enjoy all of it with your family this year!
